Our Story
Three generations of sustainable farming, ethical cattle raising, and a deep
commitment to providing the finest grass-fed beef while preserving our beautiful
California landscape.
A Family Legacy Since 1985
ValleyAngus Farm began as a dream of John and Mary Thompson, who purchased 200 acres of rolling hills in California’s Central Valley. What started as a small operation with just 20 head of cattle has grown into a 500-acre ranch with over 150 premium Angus cattle.
Today, their son Michael and daughter-in-law Sarah continue the family tradition, implementing modern sustainable practices while maintaining the core values of ethical animal husbandry and environmental stewardship that John and Mary established.
Our third generation is already learning the ropes, ensuring that ValleyAngus Farm will continue to provide premium beef and authentic farm experiences for decades to come.

Pasture Management
Rotational Grazing
We move our cattle through different pasture sections, allowing grass to recover and preventing overgrazing while maintaining soil health.
Native Grasses
Our pastures feature a diverse mix of native grasses and legumes that provide optimal nutrition and support local wildlife habitats.
Water Conservation
We use efficient irrigation systems and natural water sources to maintain pasture health while conserving this precious resource.

Premium Genetics
Our Angus cattle come from carefully selected bloodlines known for superior marbling, tenderness, and overall meat quality.
